TCC Foundation Scholarships • Over 324 scholarships offered each year for a total of over $448,000. • Average award: $750 per semester • Available for the general student population and students pursuing specific programs/fields of study • More than 189 scholarships are available to first-time TCC students • There are many merit-based and need-based scholarships www.tccd.edu/scholarships

How Do I Apply? • Complete the online application at www.tccd.edu/scholarships • General questions • Academic questions • Extracurricular activities • Narrative • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA, www.fafsa.gov • For need-based scholarships • Must have unmet financial need • Provide Two References • To include two valid emails www.tccd.edu/scholarships

  6. Do I Have to Apply for Each Scholarship? No. The system will match you with what you are eligible to receive based on your responses. Limit one internal scholarship award per academic year. www.tccd.edu/scholarships

  7. When Will I Know if I Received a Scholarship? All scholarship applicants receive an email from the Foundation Office; winners, non-winners and alternates via the email address provided on the application. Emails will be sent at the end of the summerand prior to the fall semester for which the award will begin. Winners must sign and return the acceptance form for funds to be added to their account. www.tccd.edu/scholarships

  8. How Long Do Scholarships Last? Most are available for two semesters, fall and spring, if all renewal criteria are met. Some are available up to four semesters, others up to degree or certificate completion. Few are only available for one semester. www.tccd.edu/scholarships

  9. How Do I Receive My Scholarship Funds? Funds are automatically applied to the student account approximately 10 days before start of term. If there are remaining funds after tuition: Fixed-amount scholarships – refund check mailed to the address on file or through EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). Tuition-only scholarships – do not receive a refund check (unless the student has already paid for their tuition). www.tccd.edu/scholarships
