Enhancing Accountability in Massachusetts Healthcare: A Collaborative Framework

In Massachusetts, a comprehensive framework for accountability in managing incidents and adverse events has been developed by all segments of the healthcare system. This initiative aims to build a unified language, foster collaboration in error analysis, and improve error reporting. By sharing lessons learned and defining clear policies for human and system errors, the framework addresses both retrospective and prospective stakeholder responsibilities. Ongoing engagement with key stakeholders and work groups will drive the successful implementation of these accountability principles.
