  1. February 23, 2010Conventions Day 5 • How has the author used capitalization in an unusual way? • What is the effect of this technique? • Try it on your own. Write a sentence or two about a book, movie, or t.v. show you love. In your sentences tell why others should give this book, etc. a chance. Emphasize an important idea by using capitalization. • Share your sentences with a partner. Allow your partner to critique your sentences. He/she should write his/her evaluation in your notebook.

  2. Today we will: • Design vocabulary flyer using Microsoft Publisher. • Remember to check your assignment sheet. • Check spelling, etc.

  3. Homework • P. 459, Ex. 8 in Language Book due Monday. • Finished vocabulary flyer due on Tues. 3/2.
