  2. THE VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM T he Victoria & Albert Museum has the world’s greatest collection of fine and applied arts. Queen Victoria laid the foundation stone of the Museum on 17th May 1899. The museum has been housed in Aston Webb’s building since 1909. Displays include sculpture, jewelers, silver, miniatures, water-colors, pottery, glass, furniture, weapons, musical instruments and costumes. There are galleries devoted to British, Chinese, Islamic, Japanese and Korean art. Here you can find Michelangelo’s David as well as the Trojan Column from the Forum in Rome.

  3. THE BRITISH MUSEUM The British Museum is one of the greatest museum in the world. It was opened in 1753 and it is one of the oldest museums in the world.The most famous exhibitions are: the Elgin Marbles that are sculptures from the Parthenon in Athens, Egyptian mummies and the Rosetta Stone. Older highlights include a splendid series of Assyrian relieves from Nineveh and extraordinary artifacts from Mesopotamia. There are also Prehistoric and Roman-British, medieval and modern collections.

  4. THE NATIONAL GALLERY Thesite occupied by the National Gallery, between the north on Trafalgar Square and Orange Street. This museum was born in 1824. This museum contains more than 2300 paintings important for their range and their quality, such as the masterpieces by Botticelli, Raphael, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Cezanne, etc... Besides here there are a lot of paintings from the Middle ages to first 900

  5. NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM The Natural History Museum in London is a museum exhibiting a vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history. Within there are five main collections: botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology and zoology. The Natural History Museum Library contains extensive books, journals, manuscripts, and artwork collections linked to the work and research of the scientific departments; access to the library is by appointment only.

  6. THE TATE BRITAIN T he Tate Britain is a big gallery that has housed all important artworks since XVI century.It’s situated in Milbank. All tourists can buy some gifts in the gift shops and they can also enjoy a range of fresh hot and cold dishes, pastries, cakes and drinks at the Djanogly cafe’

  7. THE TATE MODERN GALLERY T he Tate modern is situated in front of St. Paul’s Cathedral, the second is in Millbank. The Tate Modern has been opening since 2000 and it’s the most important museum in England. In the past it was an old power station closed in 1981. It’s composed by five floors and a Turbine Hall that holds a third of the building.

  8. MADAME TOUSSAUDS M adameTussauds is a wax museum in London with branches in a number of major cities. It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction in London, displaying waxworks of historical and royal figures, film stars, sports stars and infamous murderers. Madame Tussauds is owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments. Madame Tussaud's wax museum has now grown to become a major tourist attraction in London, incorporating (until 2010) the London Planetarium in its west wing.
