Transportation Update • Bus Driver Absentee Rate • As of October 9, 2013 – 201.5 Driver Absences • Averaging Approximately 7.5 Absences Per Day • 5.2 % Absentee Rate for the Total Fleet • Proposed - Perfect Attendance Incentive • Originally Tabled Due to Budget Cuts • Discussion Scheduled for October 16, 2013 - Bus Driver Advisory Committee
Transportation Update • Proposal One • Increase Efforts to Hire Additional Drivers to Protect Instructional Time at Tier Two Schools • Adjust Tier Three Elementary Schools’ Bell Schedule • 15 Minute Adjustment • Starting at 9:30 a.m. and Ending at 3:45 p.m. • Gives Tier Two Buses Doing Double Routes More Time to Get to Their Tier Three Schools • Proposal Two • Move Elephant’s Fork Elementary and Kilby Shores Elementary to Tier Three and Adjust Tier Three Elementary Schools’ Bell Schedule 15 Minutes • Provides Drivers for Tier Two Vacant Routes – Protecting Instructional Time • Those Drivers Could Then Be Used for Tier Three with the Additional 15 Minutes from the Adjustment of the Bell Schedule
