  2. PLANNING Safety and security is our #1 priority!!! Therefore, planning is essential. Have a written Building Emergency Procedures Plan in place as well as a Business Continuity Plan (a Contingency Plan). Review both plans annually. Engage your vendors/contractors. Does your plan coincide with the buildings procedures? Train your Employees. Do they know your company’s plan?

  6. Time to get ready… • Initial Response • News monitoring by JLL begins at regular intervals. • Track Cone of Uncertainty. (Usually a three to five day forecast of where the hurricane is expected to make landfall.) • Next preliminary steps: • Once New Orleans is in Cone of Uncertainty, hold emergency staff meeting. • News monitoring continues. • Preliminary preparations begin at the Buildings. • Review all stages of Emergency Plans. • Double check all pertinent info is current. PREPARATION: RESPONSE PLAN

FULL PREPARATIONS BEGIN… • Hold emergency staff meeting • Monitor building Tenant Advisories • Connect with vendors if needed • If deemed a “Necessary Vendor” by the City of New Orleans, contact Management Office for Tenant Release Forms (Only when there is a hurricane and a new one will need to be filled out for each hurricane) • Remove and dispose of all perishable items from kitchen / refrigerators. Please remember that the Parking Garage is not a safe haven for vehicles and should not be utilized for this purpose. There will be no access to the Parking Garage in the event of an evacuation or building closure. The Parking Garage will not be reopened for access until the garage is cleared of any debris and the Parking Company can properly staff the site.

  8. RESPONSE PLAN TO HURRICANE CATEGORY STAGES Category 1 – JLL skeleton crew remains on site Category 2 – will be determined based on City of New Orleans decision to evacuate or not, buildings will follow suit Category 3 thru 5 – mandatory evacuation; buildings will be secured and locked down

FINAL PREPARATIONS BEGIN… • Raise all mini-blinds and open all curtains. • Loose items in spaces with windows should be stored to reduce flying debris if windows break. • Lock all cabinets, desks, file drawers, etc. • Back up all necessary computer data. • Turnoff and unplug all computers to protect against power surges . • Secure and relocate all office equipment, computers and valuable document /files to interior office space to protect against damage. • Close all doors. • Reminder…did you remove and dispose of all perishable items from kitchen / refrigerators. • Also remember that the Parking Garage is not a safe haven for vehicles and should not be utilized for this purpose.

  11. COMMUNICATIONS DURING STORM Regular advisories will be maintained by Building Management utilizing all the previous methods mentioned to keep all informed.

Building Staff will assess damages to the Properties • Tenant Advisories will update status of the Properties • Once Building Services are restored and if needed occupancy approval obtained from City and State, Tenant Advisories will direct on Reentry Procedures Tenants should maintain communication with their employees on the above information.
