High Level Goals Long term goals (3-5 years) - Implementing science inquiry through the use of project-based learning in all level of education - Developing students’ scientific attitude and positive attitude towards science - Increasing the number of life-long learner students - Increasing the number of students participating in science fairs by100% within 5 years

High Level Goals • Short term goals (1-2 years) • Establish link with mentor(s)/ scientist(s) who are able to guide students through projects in every university / research institute • Establish a bank of master teachers who are able to implementscience inquiry through the use of project-based in each level ofeducation. This can be accomplished by annual teacher training. • Increase the number of students participating in science fairs by 50% within 2 years • Enforce public outreach. Increase recognition in media. • Establish common database for all fairs in the country 3

Objectives • Strong commitment and involvement from students, staffs, parents, local research institutes and community. • Indicators include • More than 20 mentors in each area ofscience discipline in each university / research institute willing to guide students through projects • More than 20% of teachers can implement science inquiry through the use of project-based in each school • Students participation in region science fairs increase by 10% annually • Ministry of Education, Ministry of Science, and private sector commit adequate annual budget for science fairs in all level 4
