  4. Argue • This approach utilizes excessive energy • Deriving infrastructure • Performing metadata collection • Performing query execution • Performing result collection • Show that the problem with this approach is that the infrastructure is not designed to support a query in the network

  5. Propose • Ad-Hoc query processing architecture • Build separate infrastructure that is designed to support each query in the sensor network • Protocol • Query submitted by user • Infrastructure built to support query

  6. Problems • Ad-Hoc query processing architecture utilizes excessive energy deriving the infrastructure

  7. Propose • Hybrid Query Processing Architecture • Mix between Ad-hoc and Fixed query processing architectures • Build only a partial infrastructure in an ad-hoc manner.. Some infrastructure is built in a fixed manner
