Semester 1 • BAIP 111 Foundations of Interprofessional Collaboration I 26 (2/wk) • HTCV 111 Hemotherapy 39 (3/wk) • PSCV 110 Physiological Science I 102 (8/wk) • PTCV 110 Perfusion Theory I 188 (14/wk) • 100 hours didactic and 88 hours lab • Delivery: 8 weeks distributed learning and 5 weeks laboratory and tutorial

Semester 2 • BAIP121 Foundations of Interprofessional Collaboration II 26 (2/wk) • RMCV 230 Interprofessional Research 39 (3/wk) • PHCV 120 Applied Pharmacology 78 (6/wk) • General pharmacology, hemostasis, administration of drugs on pump • PACV 120 Pathophysiology 39 (3/wk) • PTCV 120 Perfusion Theory II 197 (18/wk) • Acid/base, patient care • 119 hours lecture/hosp visits and 78 hours lab • Delivery model: lecture/lab/hospital visits all in Toronto

  4. Semester 3 • CLCV 230 Simulation and Clinical Education I 329 • 84 hours (12/wk) in simulation, 245 hrs clinical • LSIP 250 Leadership in Health Care 39 (3/wk) • PTCV 230 Advanced Perfusion Theory 126 (18/wk) • Delivery model: 7 weeks at TMI to complete PTCV 230 and the simulation portion of CLCV 230 : remainder of semester is first 7 weeks of clinical training : LSIP 250 is a distributed learning course spread over the whole semester

  5. Semester 4 • CLCV 132 Clinical Education 595 • 17 weeks • Delivery: Phase 2 and 3 of clinical education in hospital

  6. Timelines • Semester I Sept – Dec 2009 (distributed learning and TMI) • Semester II Jan – April 2010 (TMI) • Semester III May 11 – June 26 (TMI) July 6 – Aug 21 2010 (Hospital) • Semester IV Aug 24 – Dec 17 2010 (Hospital)

  7. CLCV 132 - Simulation • Students will perform 1 simulated case per week • Practices in the lab • Final case will be summative • 1 hospital visit per week

  8. PTCV 230 – Advanced Perfusion Theory
