Introduction:Types of Rocks Video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRaInMDNyE8 Introduction Summary – • Rocks are classified by the way they are formed. • Igneous rocks are formed when lava from volcanoes cools and hardens above earth’s surface or when magma cools and hardens above earth’s surface • Sedimentary rocks are formed when elements wear rock down into tiny particles of dust.
