Good points • Challenge process • - good to focus on one tool • - fast and dynamic pace with daily activities • - one-week duration • - live sessions as well as recordings • LD tool • Browser – being able to share designs rapidly • Designer – pie chart; categories of learning types; estimating time • Reviewing – giving feedback; receiving feedback

Suggestions for improvements Challenge process - shorter live sessions - meet the community - summarise main points - include a weekend - focus on one central point with links… LD tool Browser - tagging system to search topic, level, context, outcome Designer – provide for collaborative design Reviewing – provide for conversation between author and reviewer - assign reviewers

  9. Reflections on the review process Valuable process What I like the most is feedback I've received - it was totally new for me to have really external review. I like also the process of giving feedback. It took me 3 hours but I've taken into consideration so many things and criteria provided on the course - I've learnt a lot! Getting feedback from peers, helping me over organisational blindness • Lack of collaborative editing of learning designs • the tool should promote collaborative editing... We found we discussed and negotiated many issues in the final presentation and in some reviews. Collaborative editing could help the teachers to work directly together in adjusting a group-design • Lack of place for interaction between the author and the reviewer • We switched to email… doing the review of another design it is also important to have the opportunity to exchange with the other participant, and then reflect together.

Recap: Design – Submit – Review Design Use the Browser to select an existing design View it in the Designer to decide if you want to use it If so, click on Edit, and change whatever parts of it you need to OR Go straight to the Designer to create your own Submit In the Designer, click on Share (save url) Go to Browser – Personal space – My designs Scroll down to new design and click (tick appears on the right) Click on the ‘bookmark’ at the top to place it in your ‘public space’ folder Click on ‘My submissions for the challenge’ and click Add Review In the Browser click on Designs not reviewed yet – Priority for review Click on one and in the Designer Turn editing on Add TLA and use this to give comments in terms of the criteria Share your Review in the same was as submitting a design, but to ‘My reviews’
