This pilot project evaluates the feasibility of student nurse placements in General Practice (GP) settings. Aimed at introducing 3rd-year nursing students from the University of Plymouth to valuable pre-registration experiences, the initiative focuses on increasing their understanding of the patient journey and future employment opportunities in GP. Funded by the local deanery, it involves five practices, enabling 12-week placements for students. The evaluation will assess financial implications, patient benefits, and overall value through SWOT analysis and stakeholder feedback, shaping the future of nursing in primary care.
