  2. Courageous John spoke to all people:- • Ordinary people – Mt.3:1,2,5,6 • Religious leaders – Mt.3:7-10 • Tax-collectors – Lk.3:12,13 • Soldiers – Lk.3:14 • King Herod – Mt.14:3-5 His courage cost him his life

  3. c. Humble John saw clearly:- • He was only “a voice” – John 1:23 • Jesus was Great - John was unworthy to be Jesus’ slave – John1:27 - John wanted people to focus on Jesus – John3:26-30

  4. 2. What John said about Jesus a. He is Saviour & Judge 1. Bringing life – John1:32,33; 3:5 2. Judging – Mt.3:11,12 b. He is the “Lamb of God” – John1:29 c. He is the Son of God 1. Delighting his Father – Mt.3:17 2. The unique Son – One and Only

  5. 3. Spreading the Good News a. We have amazing, good news 1. We can be forgiven 2. We can have new life b. Being good messengers 1. Committed & eager 2. Courageous 3. Humble Jesus is a GREAT SAVIOUR
