  3. *True* That is CORRECT! Declarative sentences tell the reader something. Here is an example: Yesterday, I went to the park.

  4. *False Sorry, that is INCORRECT. Declarative sentences DO make a statement about something. Here is an example: Yesterday, I went to the park.

  5. Question #2 Question #2 Which of these is a correct example of the use of “its” and “it’s” ? A. The dog chased it’s tail. B. It’s raining outside.

  6. Answer to Question #2 A. That is INCORRECT. “It’s” (with an apostrophe) means “it is”. That would make the meaning of the sentence “The dog chased it is tail.” This is clearly wrong.

  7. Answer to Question #2 B. That is CORRECT! “It’s” (with an apostrophe means “it is.” The sentence is really saying “It is raining outside.”
