Project Goals & Lesson Objectives • GLE 1.1.2: Creates analyzes and evaluates the elements of visual arts when producing a work of art. • Learning shape & form • GLE 1.2.1: Analyzes and applies the skills and techniques of visual arts to create original works of arts in two and/or three dimensions • Creating original 3D project

  3. Instruction Wedge before rolling into a ball to avoid trapping air bubbles Make a round ball of clay

  4. Insert thumb into the center. DO NOT push all the way through the ball so a base is created.

  5. Pinch and rotate with your thumb and forefingers. Move up the piece as you rotate to ensure your walls and base stay the same size.

  6. Smooth the walls and leave a rounded base. Smooth the lip of your pinch pot to an even level. Walls and base must be the same thickness to prevent cracking.
