    1. Exciting Changes to the Tryout Process

    3. Cheer Tryout Process Cont… Evaluations will be processed and the results of the selected squads will be posted via internet and at the school on Friday March 13th at the end of the school day.

    4. Benefits of the New Process OUR MAIN GOAL IN THIS NEW PROCESS IS TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR THE CANDIDATE AND THE PROGRAM. Other goals for the new process include: Eliminating the stress of tryout day. Allowing the Coach/Director to see success over a period of time instead of a ‘snapshot’ on a tryout day. Cheer – Selecting squads by ability including stunts. Drill Team – Allowing candidates to tryout with different dance styles.

Requirements for Cheer Tryouts Keller High School Varsity Standing Back Tuck and Round Off Back or Round off Back Handspring Back JV Standing Back Handspring Round Off Back Handspring Freshmen Standing Back Handspring Round off Back Handspring Central High School Varsity Standing Back and Running Back JV Standing Back Hand Spring Round Off Back Handspring Freshmen Standing or running Back Handspring

    6. Requirements for Cheer Tryouts Con’t Fossil Ridge Varsity Standing Back and Running Back JV Standing Back Hand Spring Round Off Back Handspring Freshmen No Minimal Requirement

    7. Cheer Mandatory Tryout Meetings ALL MEETINGS WILL BEGIN AT 6:30 PM! You may attend any of the three meetings regardless of your feeder pattern. A Parent/Guardian and the candidate MUST attend one of these meetings to be eligible for tryouts. Mon., January 26th Keller High School Tues., January 27th Central High School Wed., January 28th Fossil Ridge High School

    8. Drill Team Process Each candidate will learn 3 short dance combinations. Candidates will be evaluated daily and perform with current members on the last day. Results will be posted via internet or posting after tryouts on the last day.

    9. Drill Team Tryout Information Keller High School Mandatory Tryout Meeting: March 24th 7:00 pm Prep-Clinic (optional) March 25th-27th; 4:15-6:15pm: $5/day Dance Gym at KHS Tryouts March 30th-April 3rd 4:00-6:30pm in the Dance Gym at KHS Friday 4pm-? In the Dance Gym at KHS

    10. Drill Team Tryout Information Fossil Ridge High School Mandatory Tryout Meeting: March 24th 7:00 pm Try-out week March 30 – April 3rd   4:00 – 6:30 PM at FRHS

    11. Drill Team Tryout Information Central High School Mandatory Tryout Meeting: March 31, 7:00 pm Prep-clinic (optional) Jan. 26-28 & April 6-8 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm $5/day in the dance room Tryout week April 14th -18th 4:00pm – 6:30pm at CHS

    12. Timber Creek High School One or more of the current High School coaches/directors will be coordinating the tryout process March 31st Parent Information Meeting in the CHS cafeteria at 7:00 pm April 6-9th Tryout Clinic in the CHS Dance Room 4:00-6:00 pm
