  2. Amelia Earhart Amelia Earhart was born 1897 July 24th in Kansas. When Amelia was young she was different than other girls, most girls where quiet and shy but not Amelia.

  3. Amelia Earhart At ten years old Amelia saw her first plane and it did not impress her, it was old and rusty and she did not look at it twice.

  4. Amelia Earhart It wasn’t until about a decade after that fair that she was entranced by a plane, at a stunt flying show. A pilot swooped past her in his little red plane and as she noticed she stood her ground. At that moment she knew when that plane swooshed past her she had to fly a plane.

  5. Amelia Earhart • Amelia completed Hyde Park High School in 1915, then attended a girls finishing school but left after the start of her second year to be a nurses aid in the army for World War I.

  7. Amelia Earhart • . • In 1921 Amelia took her first flying lesson and that was all needed to know that is what she was meant to do and what she has accomplished.

  8. Amelia Earhart • A couple years later a guy named Hilton H. Railey asked Amelia if she wanted to fly she said yes . So Amelia did. Then when Amelia was 24 she married a guy named George P. Putman.

Amelia Earhart • Amelia Earhart died in a plane crash in Howland island in 1937 but now people think she survived the plane crash but nobody knows what happened to except her self. • Amelia is most famous for being the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean and continued to fly for the rest of her life. This was a huge step forward for all women.
