Warm up: Wednesday 9/18/13 SAT Word of the Day: Renaissance \re-nə-ˈsän(t)s\; n Word Root: Latin Nasci: “birth”the transitional 14th-century movement in Europe characterized by dramatic growth in the arts, literature and science Take out your American Economic System handout from after your quiz (fast food companies). How do fast food companies create competition between one another?

  2. Objective • Students will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur in order to explain how the economic decisions that they make can influence their earning potential.

  3. Agenda • Collect “Is a College Cap and Gown a Financial Ball and Chain” answers to HW • Review American Economic System handout • http://stosselintheclassroom.org/videos/can_greed_work_in_a_free_market_economy/ • Distribute drafts of Norway’s Economy (along with Rubric) – Due Friday 9/20 via email or handwritten (as long as I can read it!) • Why some jobs pay more than others/Intro to entrepreneurship
