Join us as we explore an innovative project that connects our 2nd graders and 8th graders through poetry and recipe creation. Beginning as a journal entry, students compose poems and share their favorite recipes for a cookbook fundraiser. In the past year, students designed covers judged by their peers, with the final product being a meaningful gift for parents. This year’s plans include increasing student responsibility for their contributions and incorporating character education while middle schoolers enhance their graphics skills.
