(CBs should not be more than approximately 40 yards from the ball). • MOBILITY • PENETRATION • BASIC ATTACKING PRINCIPLES Play forward when possible and probable. Shoot, Pass, Dribble or Run W.I.M.P.S. Players don’t pass to players, they pass to runs. Players must move to show where they want the ball and to create space. • SUPPORT • IMPROVISATION There are 23 continuously moving parts to a soccer game, how many solutions can we possibly provide a player? They must learn to react adapt and decide on their own. There must always be multiple options around the ball (forward, behind and into or out of the middle.
