  7. Tidal power is growing in Nova Scotia due to the force of tides in the Bay of Fundy. 1-Megawatt Tidal Turbine (a typical North American home uses about 8900 kilowatt hours per year.)

  8. Is Nova Scotia Doing a Decent Job? Are we doing enough? Are we building toward a SUSTAINABLE future?

  11. There’s MORE to it than just reuse, reduce, recycle… Products effect people too! We need to be thinking of the product’s entire life.

  12. We have to rethink the way we make things…. • Every decision we make about energy has to do with managing our ‘stuff’ Have a discussion about the stuff in your life and how it uses energy from the beginning of its life to the end (cradle to grave)

  14. Systems Thinking Systems thinking means thinking about a piece of technology, a product, etc… as part of an entire system – not just a thing. This system involves ALL the people and places influenced by this system during its LIFE CYCLE.
