Unemployment • Unemployed people can register atLabour Office as a job seeker. • They are entitled to get unemployment benefits if they prove 12 months work in last 3 years before submision of aplication. • The benefits amount is 50% in first 3 months and 45% for the remaining months. • They are entitled to draw the unemployment benefits for 6 months.

  10. Employment Conclusion of employment contract • written form • trial period of 3 months • required content: work position place of work starting date of work • other arrangements: salary,description of workposition, benefits etc.

  11. Working time • usually 40 hours a week • usually 8 hours a day • obligation to give 30 min break after 6 hours of work • basic annuall leave is 4 weeks a year

  12. Accommodation The availability of accommodation and prices depend upon their geographical location. Education • nursery schools for children between 3 and 6 years of age • elementary schools: compulsory education lasts 9 years and you can choose betweenprivate school and schools administred by the municipality • secondary schools: three types – general secondary school, secondarytechnical college and secondaryvocational establishments

  14. Universities provide: • bachelor study programs (3-4 years) • master´s programs (4-6 years) • doctoralstudy for master´s graduates • studies at public and state universities are free in The Czech Republic • private universities provide bachelor programs
