  3. University Studies Program • Southeast Missouri State University’s General Education Program is called “University Studies.” • The program centers around nine objectives.

  4. Nine US Objectives • Demonstrate the ability to locate and gather information • Demonstrate capabilities for critical thinking, reasoning and analyzing • Demonstrate effective communication skills

  5. Nine US Objectives • Demonstrate an understanding of human experiences and the ability to relate them to the present • Demonstrate an understanding of various cultures and their interrelationships • Demonstrate the ability to integrate the breadth and diversity of knowledge and experience
