How to download a new s/w version to phone? • Requirements • H/W : SGH-E710 data cable • S/W : Optiflash.exe & S/W Version • Sequence • Run optiflash application (optiflash_3.5.0.3 version) • Select Options in menu • Select Settings • Specify external flash loader • Select com port • Select file to load or verify • Push flash button

Easy GPRS • What is "EasyGPRS“ ? • - The service allows you to download binary for your SAMSUNG cell phone • directly from the Web and install the downloaded binary in your phone. • So you cannot only initialize your phone but also add improved functions to it. • Having a wireless internet connection with your notebook PC is easy using • “EasyGPRS” • (For more information, go to • http://www.samsung.com/Products/MobilePhone/support/index.htm)

  13. How to install EasyGPRS? • Execute "setup.exe" within the directory • "EGGPRS_2.1.8_Setup“ • - Install it accoding to the instruction

  14. Starting EasyGPRS? To start EasyGPRS, proceed as follows. Select [Start]-[Programs]-[EasyGPRS]-[EasyGPRS] in the Windows task bar.

  15. Setting Up EasyGPRS? COM1 is a default one when EasyGPRS is started with data link cable connected to COM 1 port. User can set a IrDA as a COM Port if available. First, Windows 2000 should be patched for IrDA. Enter the appropriate settings and click the [OK] button to return to the startup window. Note: You can also access this window at any time to check and/or change your settings; to do so, select [File]-[Setup].

  16. UI Configuration • What is UI Configuration ? • - UI Configuration program makes it easy to save user interface related • setting values such as WAP Browser Setting, Favorite Setting, and MMS Setting • into mobile phone.

  17. How to install UI Configuration? • Execute "setup.exe" • Install it according to the instruction • After installing, please overwrite the directory • "C:\Program Files\Samsung\UI Configuration\config\DataXML" • with latest “DataXML“ directory, If we provide latest “DataXML“

  19. Setting Up UI Configuration 2. Checking out the automatic connection You can check out the connection status by the online icon After phone is connected offline icon changes to the online icon. Date Link Cable must be connected to the right COM port.
