  4. Winning Prom Theme • The theme for Prom 2012 is “Tonight, Tonight.” Colors for this theme are black, ocean blue, and grey.

  5. PROM 2012 • Event Date: April 27th, 2012 • $25.00 per person • DEADLINE to pay: April 20th • Pictures begin @ 4:00-11:00

  6. HEY SENIORS!!! • The billboard in front of 200 hall will be dedicated to the Class of 2012. • In order to support our class, please bring any senior picture/portrait you have to Amber Huggins or Laura Bird by this week!!!! • We would greatly appreciate it. Remember, it’s our last year, make it memorable 

  7. Congratulations • Sophomores Stephen Locklear and Mia Baxley were accepted to the North Carolina School of Math and Science. Good job you guys 

  8. Congratulations • Junior Kendrick Sampson was chosen by the Lumbee Electric Membership Corporation to represent our community at the 2012 National Youth Tor Conference in Washington, D.C. Applicants were selected by an essay and community involvement scoring process. Good job Kendrick 

  9. Congratulations!! • Mrs. Aringe has been accepted to the ALICE program at Duke this summer. This is a computer programming course for the creation of the virtual world. Good job Mrs. Aringe. • Best of wishes and good luck!

  19. BigSun Scholarship • All student athletes are eligible for this award • Must be a senior attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in a sport at that institution or community • www.bigsunathletics.com for more info • Deadline: June 22, 2012 • Amount of Award: $500

  20. Free-Laptop!!!! • UNCP Friends of the Library is offering several technology scholarships, awarding two laptop computers to incoming freshmen from Robeson County. • DEADLINE: May 1, 2012 • www.uncp.edu/library/friends/fresh_school_guide.pdf

  21. Selective Service • If you are a man ages 18-25 and living in the US, then you must register with Selective Service. According to law a man must register with Selective Service within 30 days of his 18th birthday. • Register at any Post Office or online at http://ww.ss.gov

  22. SeNiOrS • Seniors who have applied to Robeson Community College and took the compass test please sign up in guidance for a $1,000 scholarship.

  23. SENIORS! • Any seniors that attended at least 1 year at Long Branch Elementary School please see Ms. Kathy in Guidance for a $1000 scholarship.

  24. UNC Chapel Hill • If you are interested in attending UNC Chapel Hill and you are a Junior. Please come by to see Ms. Karen. • We can only take the first 15 students who register for Project Uplift.

  25. SAT & ACT Announcement • Seniors and Juniors: If you eat free or reduced lunch you may be eligible for a fee waiver for the SAT Test and College Applications. See your Guidance Counselor for information.

  27. Superintendents Academic Awards Ceremony • Ceremony will be held Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 7:00 pm @ Givens Performing Arts Center on the campus of UNCP.

  28. STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS!! You will always miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

  29. Beta Club & National Honor Society: • There will be a Beta and National Honor Society Meeting on Thursday, April 26, 2012 in the Media Center. • This meeting is for New Members and Current Members. • The meeting will start promptly at 3:05pm.

  30. Beta Club & National Honor Society: • The Beta Club and National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 8th at 6:00 in the Gym. • Seniors will be presented their graduation stoles during the ceremony.

  31. AP Calculus Review: • AP Calculus Review will be on Thursday during Learning Centers and this Saturday during Saturday Academy from 8:30-10:30am.

  32. ROTC CADETS: • All former ROTC cadets who have not returned your uniforms and are no longer in ROTC will be charged for the cost of uniforms. To prevent being charged return your uniform no later than Wednesday, May 16, 2012. • All cadets, especially Seniors, your names and the cost of uniform will go to Mrs. Peggy Locklear on May 18 and charged for outstanding school fees.

  33. ROTC • All ROTC students participation in Field Day activities on Saturday and would like to ride the bus must meet at the ROTC classroom at 7:00 am so we can make it to the 8:00 am meeting at St. Pauls High School.

  34. Attention DECA Members • Meeting every Tuesday in room 207 immediately after school.

  38. Dressing for Success • Teachers are encouraged to offer classroom incentives to students who “Dress for Success.” Each week a student will be randomly selected by administration to receive a $10 gift card to www.MyLocker.net for the purchase of Purnell Swett gear.

  40. RAMS ATHLETICS Sports do not build Character…they reveal it.

  41. TENNIS: • Please release the Tennis team today, April 24th at 9:00am for the Conference Tournament in Pinehurst.

  42. Attention: • Ms. Sasha Davis, the Athletic Trainer, will be starting a class for students interested in Sports Medicine. • Sports Medicine Camp will be held July 16-20 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. • Please see Ms. Sue Patterson in Room 601 for information or if you have any questions.

  43. Athletic Physicals • Athletic Physicals will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5:30pm. • They will be in the Gym- Cost is $10.00 • These physicals will be for the school year 2012-2013! • If you are interested in participating in any Sports next year, please make sure that you get this information to your parents.

  44. FOOTBALL • After school weight-lifting for football will be held on Monday and Wednesday only!

  50. AP Government • AP US Government Exam Review will take place this Tuesday during Learning Center instead of Thursday.
