  1. ADULT EDUCATION advisory council FALL MEETING 2019 Bates Technical College – South Campus October 15, 2019

  2. Welcome!

  3. Land Acknowledgment We respectfully acknowledge the land on which we stand and occupy today as the traditional home of the Coast Salish tribes – Puyallup, Steilacoom, Muckleshoot tribal nations. The Coast Salish gathered shellfish and frequented the inlets and prairies of Puget Sound for centuries before Euro-American exploration and settlement. The rivers of the county were long-established sites for salmon harvesting, the prairies were popular hunting and plant harvesting sites, and the beaches were replete with shellfish, harvested by native people. Without them, we would not have access to this gathering and to this dialogue. We take this opportunity to thank the original caretakers of this land.
