SDC Projects Underway * * Includes CTS hosted and managed systems moving from OB2 to SDC Data Hall 1. A la Carte systems will remain in OB2 for foreseeable future.
SDC Projects Updates • SDC Facilities Readiness • Completed operational readiness activities in January, including physical security infrastructure, power installation, fiber terminations, and enclosure installations. • Using interim data center space management and physical security policies and procedures. Working on final versions. • Network Core Project • Final network components migrated from OB2 to the SDC on 1/12 • Project team is now focused on project clean up, close out, and celebration
SDC Projects Updates con’t • Security • Installation and configuration of Fortinet gear completed. • Will turn focus to preparing for pilots in February. • Storage • VMAX delivered and installed in December. • Cisco Network Ready For Use (NRFU) tests completed in January. • Working with EMC & Presidio to test and accept system. • Will turn focus to preparing for pilots in March.
SDC Projects Updates con’t • CTS Cloud Utility • Will enhance current server hosting services to a CTS hosted private cloud utility. • Will identify service strategy and readiness as well as perform technical validation to confirm key business objectives can be met prior to progressing to pilot. • Move Ph1 • Preparing for CTS system migrations to begin. (See next slide)
Customer Engagement • Monthly Agency Implementation Coordinator (AIC) meetings share information & promote a collaborative dialogue • December meeting reviewed SDC strategy, overall project organization, and three categories of migrations (Move Ph1, Storage, and Firewall) • January meeting reviewed project status and new documentation (Engagement Plan and FAQ) and website (Migration Calendar) • Regular project meetings with customer(s) as we move closer to specific implementations. • Email and periodic newsletters. • Customer action item log to track readiness progress and activities. • Customer issue log to track questions, inquiries, and issues.
