  1. Project Title: Capacity Building for the Romanian NRP: Promoting Quality - QUALVET@RO Project No: 191183-LLP-1-2010-1-RO-LEONARDO-EQAVET

  2. The aim of the project was: Elaborating and piloting a communication strategy for the Romanian National Reference Point of EQAVET (GNAC In Romanian Language: “Grupul National pentruAsigurareaCalitatii”, meaning the “National Group for Quality Assurance”), in order to implement the EQAVET Recommendation, the policies and the instruments elaborated within the EQAVET network.

  3. The associated objectives of the project were: 1.Elaborating and piloting a communication strategy - within GNAC, among Partners and with relevant stakeholders. 2. Raising the level of awareness of all stakeholders, regarding the European initiatives in QA and VET. 3.Disseminating the policies and instruments elaborated within EQAVET and by the project partners.

Results: • Kick off meeting (May 2011): - all partners attended the meeting. • Communication Strategy:approved by the Romanian National Reference Point (29 October 2012). • - Extra result: “Policy Note” to be sent, on behalf of the Romanian NRP, to the “line” Ministries (MoE and MoL), other central institutions and stakeholders’ organizations) • Project website and database • www.gnac.ro ; www.eqavet.ro: • The website is functional, loaded with • information and materials, with weekly updates. • Since 8 May the site is registered at Google • Analytics (about 2000 visits so far). • The forum is functional. • We published, already, the results of the debate on the Communication Strategy and, more generally, on policy Issues regarding VET.

  8. Results: • Four Newsletter isuues: completed • The distribution of the printed materials (flyers, newsletters and brochures) is ongoing for 2000 recipients. • Quality assurance system: realised; external evaluation (subcontracted) finalized

  10. Quality of VET: • How to harmonize the different views on quality – on policies regarding education and labour, on standards, on curriculum and assessment ? • How to build sustainable communication and trust among stakeholders? • How to persuade politicians to prioritize education and training on their agendas?
