  2. Founded in 1981 • Part of Metropolitan College until 2000 • Part of Division of Extended Education until 2002 • Became a free-standing school in 2002 The Past

  3. New building in 2005 • Current enrollment of 450 • All undergraduates • Half of required courses at CAS • Active cross-minor program with SMG • Good graduate job placement • Most work for upscale hotel companies • Some in restaurants and food service companies The Present (1)

  4. Seven full-time faculty • All have industry experience • All have doctorates from first-rate universities • All non-tenure track • Heavy teaching load for full-time faculty (3+3) • Has caused problems for promotions • 14 adjunct faculty • All with significant industry experience • 5.5 administrative staff • Very active advisory board The Present (2)

  5. New dean • From academia • With extensive industry experience • Significant change from our first dean • Two new faculty lines • Student enrollment expected to stabilize at 500 • Exploring graduate programs and case research center The Future
