Influence of Advertising on Consumer Choices: Results from a Student Questionnaire in Cuba and Portugal

This article presents the findings and answers from a questionnaire on the influence of media, specifically advertising, on consumer choices. The study was conducted among students in Cuba and Portugal as part of a short-term exchange program. The questionnaire examines the impact of advertising on shopping decisions, the usefulness of home-delivered catalogs, the influence of social networks, and the perception of television ads appealing to youth consumerism. It also explores factors influencing clothing purchases, the people students follow when buying clothing, and the purpose of advertising. The article provides insights into the preferences and attitudes of young consumers in these two countries.
