2. “Softball” Softball is a team game commonly played in the United States and other countries. It is a direct descendant of baseball although some key differences are that softballs are larger than baseballs and the pitches are thrown underhand rather than overhand. Softball is played on a smaller diamond than in baseball. Despite the game’s name, the standard softball is not soft; in fact it is just as hard as a baseball.

Softball spirit • To cheer their teammates on they yell a few softball cheers such as: • “she feels good she feels great (players name) just stepped on home plate” • “(Player’s name) is a friend of mine she can hit it anytime, anytime and anywhere she can hit it outta here” • “G-OO-D E-Y-E GOOD EYE GOOD EYE”
