  2. RNA Polymerase What are the three enzymes needed for transcription? Activator Transcription factor

  3. What is the role of the activator? Activator folds over and touches enzyme which is the signal to begin transcription.

  4. What is the role of RNA polymerase? RNA polymerase (enzyme) reads the gene and matches RNA nucleotides to create a mRNA strand that will code for that protein.
