  2. Everybody knows the importance of doing stretching exercises, especially for kids. In Preschool San Dimas, CA, children exercise regularly as it improves their cardiovascular health, bone density e and instills a good habit for life. Stretching helps in calming the mind, refreshing blood flow, managing stress, and increasing energy levels. There are some more reasons why children should practice stretching exercises regularly.

  3. Stretching exercises help them to improve their joint stability and mobility. • It reduces muscle tension, delays muscle fatigue, and improves muscular coordination. • In this time, when everyone is spending more time indoors, children may be sitting in tables or on the floor in one position for a longer time, and indulge themselves in various indoor activities. So it has become more important to exercise as well as stretch muscles. • A few minutes of stretching and warming up before exercising helps them to prepare their body to do different postures.

  4. Safety Measures to Follow While Stretching Although stretching is beneficial for children, wrong postures or overstretching may cause some problems. Therefore it is your responsibility to teach certain safety tips to children to avoid any injuries. • Always do some warm-up exercises at least 10 to 15 minutes before doing the stretching exercises. • Stretching should be done before any sports or strenuous physical activities such as gymming, cycling, running, or playing any outdoor games. Warm-ups can be done after the activities also. • Children should not do stretching once in a while. They should be encouraged to practice stretching exercises regularly to maintain balance and improve their strength and flexibility.

  5. Safety Measures to Follow While Stretching • The Day Care San Dimas CA yoga teachers always insist on children do inhale and exhale normally while doing stretching exercises. • Every stretch needs to be held at least for 10 to 30 seconds. Children should not bounce, jump, talk, or laugh while doing stretching. • Overstretching is not recommended as it may cause pain. • Stretching exercises should be done evenly on both sides. • If any stretch causes a consistent pain, there may be an injury in that muscle. In such situations, please consult a doctor. • If the child has any medical condition, then talk to the doctor before starting any exercise.
