  3. USMMA Mission To educate and graduate Merchant Marine Officers and leaders of honor and integrity who serve the maritime industry and armed forces and contribute to the economic, defense and homeland security interests of the United States.

Commandant’s Dept Mission To develop Midshipmen of character, honor, and sound judgment, and instill in them a sense of duty, personal and social responsibility, civility, and professionalism to ensure their success as Officers and leaders in the Merchant Marine and Armed Forces, while providing an exceptional Quality of Life to the Regiment of Midshipmen.
