  3. Something about the City: • Warsaw is the capital city of Poland • Its area is 517,24 km² • The flag of Warsaw: • And the coat-of-arms:

  4. The location: • Warsaw is located in the central part of Poland

  5. History: • During the 2nd World War people suffered terrible losses but they were strong and managed to survive • Warsaw has been changed and devloped a lot since World War II • Self-confidence and charisma of the Warsaw People is back after 1989

  6. Transport: In Warsaw you can travel by: • car, • underground, • tram, • bus, • train. and some other means of transportation ;-)

  7. Famous places

  8. The Palace of Culture: • This Palace is a famous place among tourists and Warsaw inhabitants • It has 42 floors and a wonderfull view over the City

  9. The Old Town: • It is the oldest part of Warsaw. • Everyone knows this part of the City. • In Polish we call it ,,Starówka”;-)

  10. The Łazienki Park :( The Royal Baths ) • It is a famous and beautiful Park in Warsaw • In the Park there is a characteristic monument of the world-known Polish composer – Frederic Chopin. Open air piano concerts are organized there.

  12. Złote tarasy: • It is a new shopping centre in the heart of Warsaw, near to the railway station.

  13. Galeria Mokotów: • This shopping gallery situated in Mokotów district is often visited by stars and actors

  14. Blue City: • This colourful shopping centre is located near my place. It has about 240 shops and service points.
