Families and Social Care (FSC) announces a consultation regarding the future of care at Doubleday Lodge following the Older Person’s Modernisation Programme. This review aims to enhance quality and value for money in care services. Initially, six homes closed, and now we're considering closing this service.   3. Background • Families and Social Care (FSC) are reviewing its remaining in-house provision following the Older Person’s Modernisation Programme which commenced in June 2010. • Phase 1 of the programme led to the closure of 6 homes in 2011 • Phase 2 commences 20 September for 12 weeks

Extra Care HousingRegis Gate, Sittingbourne • New scheme opening in September 2014 • Self contained, en-suite accommodation with catering facilities • Community space with lounge, gym and activity rooms • Assisted bathrooms • Care on site 24 hours a day, with flexible hours and types of support offered
