VoluntaryConfidentialialEasy access • The employee contacts an EAP Coordinator • He or she will take the information necessary to open the file and verify eligibility : • Employee’sname • Phone number(s) • If can or cannot leave a message The psychologist will contact the employee within 24 to 48 hours after the call. The appointment will be established on the availability of employee and professional.

Confidential • Procedures guaranteeing confidentiality and anonymity of a request for consultation are the included in the responsibilities of the EAP coordinator. • Please note that all matters regarding EAP as well as all relating documents are handled confidentially. No information on the content of the consultations is ever released to anyone, except in cases where the employee involved has given a written authorization.

Statistical reports on EAP utilization • Each organization identifies the statistical information that is important and the EAP gathers the data when employee calls to use the program • The statistical report cannot breech confidentiality in allowing the “stats” to identify an employee by deduction (example : each category needs a minimum of 50 employees)
