What there used for • Coal is used primarily as an energy source, either for heat or electricity. • Use To heat homes and power locomotives and factories. • produce coke for making steel and other industrial process heating. • Does almost the same as coal except for powering locomotives and what it does to the earth. Effect on the earth • Takes coal out of the ground and getting it in the water • Animals breath in the air and get it in the lunges • kills the ozone • Cant be given back to the earth • Respiratory risk on all living things • Damages plant life by running pipes underground • And water contamination Coal Natural Gas
