  2. Spanish • Were going to tell you a little about the Spanish and the people so…….. They came for gold and silver. Hernando AS IN DE-soto- captured Tuskaloosa and won the battle of Maubila. He died on expedition, and was buried in the river. Don Tristan de Luna………when he arrived he couldn’t find settlements.

  3. French • The reason the French came is for trade. • They built forts on top of hills. • They wanted to improve trade with the Indians

  4. The English • The reason the English came was for trade. • They have more factories and better trade goods • They bartered these goods for deerskins and animal furs.
