  2. Synopsis • young girl ages 13 goes to school • Comes home through the crop field • Approached by a man/neighbour • Drags her into his abduction room • ?

  3. set the scene poppy is in a cold weary school she feels isolated a she is the only pupil left in the classroom all her classmates have left and so has her teacher the light is switched off and poppy is preparing herself for her walk home battling the wind and cold weather...

  4. poppy • 13 • Female • Full time school pupil • Single • Lives with both parents and younger brother • Poppy is quiet and easy going she enjoys art in her spare time and loves spending time with her family. • She secretly believes her neighbour is strange as she often sees him looking at her as she walks to school from his window...

Beginning of drama Poppy finishes school on a cloudy day and slowly begins to pick her bag up ready to finish her school day whilst having a conversation with her teacher it ends and she gets ready to leave and walk home. Poppy has had a stressful day at school as she took her maths exam today, the classroom is very quiet as poppy is the only student left in the classroom its cold and dark as the lights are switched off and the classroom is weary. Poppy picks her bag up and exits the classroom as she shuts the door behind her.

  9. Middle of drama As Poppy exits the gates of her school she begins to walk along the path leading to the crop field she then bumps into a classmate who she lives nearby and is extremely close with they have a conversation about seeing one another at the weekend then poppy leaves and continues to walk, the wind is extremely strong so poppy picks up her pace to get home quickly. As poppy steps foot into the crop field she eases her way through the long grass heading towards home, she comes across a strange movement next to her she feels cold and scared the crop field is empty and dull the wind is also becoming stronger.

End of drama As poppy carries on walking a man pops out spying through the crops and stares towards her she steps back and asks is anybody is their he jumps out and begins to power walk towards her he grabs her arm firmly and pulls her towards him as he begins to pace back to his underground abduction dragging Poppy along he whispers as he pulls her down come in sweetie Poppy feels cold and petrified as she doesn’t know what is going to happen next he then tells her its for the best…

Why I have chosen this drama I have chosen this drama as it is similar to one of my favourite films and I also believe it will be fun and exciting to create as I will have to create many different scary sound effects and scary voices. Thrillers interest me most as excitement and tension are always used this is also my favourite genre as well as horror.

  12. Target audience My target audience for my idea would be aimed at female and male teenagers 16+ as my radio drama contains violence and would be classed as scary. My radio drama would be aimed at teenagers as these situations could occur in their lives and also many teenagers are interested in the horror genre.

  13. budget When hiring out crew, studios and equipment you have to work out the cost and work out a total and make sure it works within your budget. My budget for my radio drama is 1333 below are my costs: • Studio hire half an hour - £70 • Actors 2 half an hour - £90 • Sound effects will be created in studio - £0 • Microphone hire half an hour - £95 • Producer - £45
