Dr Marcia Bonazzi is a female obstetrician and gynaecologist based in Melbourne. She grew up in Brazil and completed her Bachelor of Medicine degree at PUCC in Campinas, Sao Paulo.
After graduating she trained for three years in Brazil and one year in Milan, Italy as a specialist gynaecologist. Following this she undertook further training in Australia in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology, first gaining her MRANZCOG followed by her FRANZCOG in 2003.
Marcia is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES) and the Australian Menopause Society.
Marcia’s main practice is located at Level 1, 143 Victoria Parade Fitzroy where she offers obstetric care, gynaecology consultations and treatments, and MonaLisa Touch treatment. She also consults fortnightly on Tuesdays in Essendon and three times monthly on Fridays at Reservoir Private Hospital.
As an obstetrician, Marcia sees patients at all three locations and performs deliveries at Epworth Freemasons Hospital in East Melbourne and St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Fitzroy. In her gynaecology practice, Marcia specialises in adolescent health, menopausal health, general gynaecological surgery, sexual health and colposcopy. Additionally, Marcia is one of only a few specialists in Victoria who performs the MonaLisa Touch treatment.
In addition to her private practice, Marcia has a public appointment as a specialist consultant obstetrician at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Parkville, and has admitting rights to both the public hospital there and the nearby Frances Perry House private hospital.
Marcia is passionate about women’s health care and creating an environment of warm, personalised care with her patients. She also enjoys history, travelling and supporting charitable organisations. Marcia is fluent in English, Portuguese, Italian and Spanish.
