  1. MEN’S JUBBAS-WHERE COMFORT MEETS STYLE Men’s Jubbas come under the paradigm of sharia compliant dress-code which is strictly adhered to in the Middle East. It is a lose fitted robe like dress which ends just above the ankle. Owing to its loose fit, it’s very much the neat cuffs and folds of white Dishdasha are significant markers of wearing it right and that the Man has done justice to the attire. The humble beginnings of a white Dishdasha started in the Middle East but soon followed suit in different continents adapting and blending with the local culture. So in Africa the Jubbasworn by men might not be white but majorly earthy browns. The white Dishadasha also stands as a national traditional attire of the Middle Eastern nations with every state modifying the attire a bit to suit its adaptability. The color white is mostly worn in the Middle East majorly as a resort to reflect the harsh rays of the sun in the arid region of rising desert temperatures. Traditionally, a Dishadasha also comes out as an acceptable piece of formal wear as well as home-wear. Additionally, they are also worn on occasions marking religious festivities or Islamic gatherings. Every Year the Eid Jubbas sell like hot cakes and they are especially designed keeping in mind the spirit of Eid and the following festivities. Across regions, Dishdashaare known for their intricate embroidery on the cuffs and neck and dabble in different and rich cultural artworks. For example, the Moroccan embroidery & China embroidery etc. are always in high demand. The neck plate and cuffs as well as collars are the places in a jubba where embroidery is much experimented with. Though there are different spin off of the traditional Jubba, many believe that nothing could beat the traditional garb carried along with the safa and kandhura. Many young Emiratis could today be seen teaming their traditional jubbas with denims and cropped pants. Another, significant accessory which has now become a staple to go with the Middle Eastern ‘cool’ look is styling it with a wrist watch. Though in South East Asia, the Muslim staple -wear still remains a Pathani Suit at large, you’’ still find many corridors wherein jubba is taking over often in the name of curiosity, experiment or comfort.
