  25. Participated in Charlotte County Utilities Toilet Rebate Program. Replaced 309 toilets, saving 2 gallons per flush • Neil Armstrong Elementary School was recognized by USGBC and the Tampa Bay Rays as a LEEDer in our community – September 2009

Received a $54,792.00 rebate check from the Department of Agriculture for our participation in the Solar Energy Systems Incentives Program at Charlotte High School – October 2011 • Florida Green School Award – District Finalist - November 2011 • Cenergistic – Chairman’s Sustainability Award – March 2014

  28. Since the inception of the Energy Education Program in January 2006, Charlotte County Public Schools has realized a $12,356,468savings.
