  5. Operation Overview

  6. MSN & Intent 2 UP • Mission: 3rd Corps defends 020300C March 2010 to defeat Arianan military forces in AO in order to prevent penetration of the Kura River and to deny access to the BTC Pipeline; conducts stability and support operations with the population within the AO in order to assure public support and a safe base from which to attack; on order, attacks to neutralize Arianan military forces in AO to restore the international border; conducts post combat stability operations and redeploys to home station.

  7. MSN & Intent 2 UP • Intent: The purpose of this operation is to restore the international border and facilitate establishment of Caspian Federation (CF) regional military stability. The decisive operation is the attack to restore the international border. We will accomplish this by neutralizing committed OSC forces deployed in CF territory and/or those reinforcing his defense. The tempo of the attack must be rapid enough to penetrate his defenses while preventing his ability to conduct coherent operations by uncommitted forces positioned in or near CF territory. I anticipate a 2-3 day attack with a 1-2 day transition to a defense securing the international border. Critical shaping operations will be the rapid penetrations of the enemy defense and the preservation of our LOCs as they are extended. At the conclusion of this operation, the Corps will have: (1) neutralized OSC2 forces in AO; (2) restored the international border; (3) forces positioned along the international border, deterring further Arianan offensive action; and, (4) forces prepared to pursue enemy forces in Ariana, or transition to Stability Operations.

  8. MSN & Intent 1 UP • Mission: 1CD attacks 100400Apr 2010 to seize objectives CORAL and VIPER and clear AO PYTHON, defeat Arianan forces in zone, maneuver quickly to restore the international border and serve as a deterrent to additional Arianan force deployment into Atropia. BPT to pursue Arianan forces across the International Border.
