  2. About OWBRN • OWBRN is a 501 (c) 3 which started operations in Columbus Ohio in 1992 • OWBRN was one of the initial pilot sites for the SBA Women Business Center Program and has provided assistance to over 15000 businesses since its beginning.

  3. OWBRN Mission • To provide assistance to women in the start-up or growth phase of business development.

  4. OWBRN Programs • The OWBRN Women’s Business Center Program funded by private sector grants and the SBA provides one-on-one counseling assistance to women in Central and Southern Ohio.

  5. The OWBRN Women’s Business Center (WBC) • Provides in-depth one-on-one counseling in specialized areas related to growth and development of the business. • Training is also available through the WBC. Long tern training (15 week sessions) and short term training (2 – 4 hours) are available at low or no cost to the general public.

  6. OWBRN Programs • The Women’s Business Enterprise Council Southeast (WBEC-SE) is a full service procurement center which provides counseling, training, and WBE Certification to women who are in established businesses.

  7. The WBEC-SE • The WBEC-SE is a Women’s Business Organization Partner (WBOP) of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) • The WBEC-SE administers the WBENC women’s business enterprise certification in Ohio, Eastern Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina.

  8. The WBEC-SE • Once a company is certified, the WBE-SE helps facilitate the development of meaningful business relationships with corporate representatives and women businesses through networking events, educational programs, and procurement related informational roundtables.
