Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 • To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; • A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; • A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

  3. One Door Closes Another Door Opens End of high school beginning of college. End of living at home beginning of living on your own. End of parents rule beginning of ruling yourself. End of being lead to church ,. . . End of others answering for you, . . . End of parents paying your bills, . . . End of Christianity in theory, . . .

  4. Be Informed - Listen To Instruction • God instructs (Prov. 2:6-11) • Jesus instructs (Matt. 7:24-28; John 6:68) • Fools hate instruction (Prov. 1:7) • Refusing instruction leads to ruin (1:22-33)

  5. Be Wise - In The Company You Keep • Everyone influences and is influenced • Evil companionship corrupts (1 Cor. 15:33) • Wise men make one wise (Prov. 13:20) • Consider (Proverbs 10)

  6. Be True To Yourself • Be honest with yourself (Luke 15) • Be committed to yourself (Romans 14) • You are the only one who can live your life. • Only you are responsible for your soul (Acts 2:40) • Only you will answer for your soul (2 Cor. 5:10) • You need to explain “Why” to yourself?

  7. Believe In God (Hebrews 11:6) • Something can’t come from nothing. • Design demands a designer. • Life comes from life and that of the same kind. • Objective morality exists. • God is gracious – creation, humanity, Calvary • God forgives – Salvation • God restores - Repentance • God loves – Jesus • God rewards - Heaven

  8. Don’t • Be let fear rule your life. • Fear paralyzes • Fear prevents • Fear is contagious • Fear is unfounded • That which you fear is often unrealized Do wrong when you are done wrong. Ever Forget: Sin is never the solution to any problem you have.
