The Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP) aims to improve the skills of public child welfare staff and enhance the transfer climate across 88 counties. In 2011, the program offered 4,168 training sessions, 878 coaching hours, and engaged 2,616 distance learning participants. Through a team-based approach, the program assesses learning needs and tailors interventions, utilizing various data collection methods such as surveys and focus groups. OCWTP seeks to prioritize training needs effectively and foster a supportive learning environment, ensuring sustainable improvements in child welfare practices.
