Concerns Raised by Graduate Student Instructors at EE Town Hall on October 14, 2013

During the EE Town Hall on October 14, 2013, graduate student instructors (GSIs) expressed significant concerns regarding their appointments. Key issues included late GSI appointments and supplemental pay, with many reporting that they were working more than the contracted hours. The quality of the 300-level pedagogy course was also critiqued, highlighting a lack of formal teaching training for GSIs. Questions centered on the effectiveness of the EE301/375 classes, with low ratings indicating a need for improvement in support and training for graduate-level instructors.
