  2. Habitat • Namibia/Costal East Africa • Deserts/grasslands

  3. Why is this animal endangered? • European hunters are responsible for the early decline of black rhino populations . They are killed for amusement . They are being for there horns . The rhino horn is very valuable for medical and cultural reasons .

  4. What is being done to save it? • Recent conservation is being done to save the rhinos .

  5. Unique Features • Weighs up to 1,5 tons and stands about 140-160cm high at the shoulder . Has eyelashes and hairy fringes on ears and tip of the tail .

  6. Interesting facts . • Weight:1,760 to 3,080/lbs [800-1400 kg] . Size relative to a 6-ft [2-m] man . A black rhino eats herbivore .
