Located in the Piedmont region of Georgia. • Adjacent to the Oconee National Forest. • 1,428 acres of forested land, including a 110 acre lake. • Namesake: Rock Eagle Effigy estimated at least 500 years old! • 4-H is a part of the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Service, largest youth organization in the world! Rock Eagle 4-H Center

Georgia 4-H EE started in 1979 at Rock Eagle. • Expand classroom walls to include local natural environment for hands-on, inquiry based, real-world learning. • Correlated to current state standards. • Classes offered in Ecology, Team Building, Living History, and Outdoor Skills. Environmental Education Program
